A small cork board for the people we love.
We did not want a baby Instagram. We wanted a porch — somewhere the people who matter could see the ultrasound, leave a heart, write a one-line note, and not have any of it indexed by anyone. So I built one. It looks like a real cork board, it updates the moment something is pinned, and it lives right here.
The board is private and invite-only. If someone you love sent you an invite code, the board is where you use it.

It's a real web app, not a feed.
The Village is its own small web application — feed, photo wall, private family messages, a notifications bell, profiles with signature colors. It runs in any browser, which matters when the audience includes grandparents who will not be installing anything. There is no app to update and nothing to configure.
Real-time, with a soft toast.
Posts come in over a live Firestore subscription, so anyone watching sees a new card slide in with a brief gold flash and a small toast at the bottom. Nothing pings. Nothing pushes. It is, deliberately, a calmer kind of feed.
Reactions, with names.
💛 ❤️ 🥹 🙌 🎉 😍 💪 🌿 😭 🤗 ✨ 👶 — and when you tap one, your name shows up in a small pill so the parents know who left it. The mom-in-law leaving a 🥹 on every post is exactly the kind of feature we wanted.
Letters to the moon.
The Moon tab is the quietest corner of the Village: anyone in the family can write a letter to the baby. Letters can be shared now, or sealed — until birth, a birthday, or whenever the parents are ready. The moon holds them all.
Private and invite-only.
Every family member signs in with their own account, using a one-time invite code from the parents. No public profiles, no discovery, no ads, no tracking. Nobody outside the family can find the board, and nobody inside it sees anything the parents didn't choose to share.
One labor alert away.
When the parents tap Send Labor Alert in the app, a glowing pinned card takes over the top of the board, with two one-tap replies: We're on our way and Sending love — keep us posted. Family knows the moment there's something to know.
Sharing into the Village from the app
Most screens in Preg have a small share-to-Village button in the corner. From a journal entry. From a kick-counter session. From the workout log. From a check-in. From the current This Week entry. From a craving. From an appointment. From Labor mode.
The point is that the moment something is worth sharing, the path from I want to share this to it's on the board is one tap and a confirmation. The parents decide what flows out; the Village is the only place it flows to.
